We had a pretty good day yesterday. Got all the Pilgrims out by 8 and then it felt like we cleaned forever but It was only 2 hours. 3 dorm like rooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen and dining areas. Afterwards we walked around town a bit, went and bought a coffee pot since the one they have here is one of those mini mr. coffee machines. They also have a hot pot for instant coffee and tea. Instant coffee? Unbelievable.
Had a good group of 6 Spanish men last night. They were all around the same age (40ish). So they were all bonding with each other. A couple of them spoke pretty good English and the rest could speak a few words. We lock the doors at 10:00 and most of the Pilgrims have walked at least 15 miles so they are pooped out and ready for a good sleep. Around 11:00 the doorbell rang and it was an hombre pilgrim who had walked about 30 miles. Our main concern is that he not disturb the others, but luckily one of the rooms had 3 guys watching soccer on their devices so dad put him in there. This morning this guy asks dad if he can stay another night which we are not supposed to let them do, but feeling sorry for him dad said yes. Pilgrims! Most of these Pilgrims have already walked one of the other routes already so they don't require a whole lot from us but this guy never walked before, was wearing sneakers and carrying a duffle bag instead of a backpack. Idiots!
So far today we have 6 men of varying ages from a teenager with his dad to a guy from the Czech Republic who is 68. They tell us a German woman should be arriving soon.
We did a bit of site seeing today. There is a old fortress here from the 1500s attached to a cathedral. Very interesting.
